Complacency Vs. Urgency, Part 1: Complacency - Know You Have Options

What is complacency? It’s the notion that you are unwilling or unable to do anything with your present situation. You are simply existing, surviving not thriving. Complacency looks at their situation and says, “I can’t do anything about it, so I’ll just keep going the best that I can.” Complacency looks at its health and says, “It’s probably genes, which I can’t change, so I’ll just keep going the best that I can, nothing I can do about it.” And while it might be genes, and there might not be something you can do about it – WHY LIMIT YOURSELF as your ONLY option?

There is no hope, no choices, and no opportunities when you choose to be complacent. You are simply surviving with what others tell you, instead of thriving with your own God-given gifts.

One might say that opposite of complacency is hope and a drive to change the situation if it doesn’t appeal to you. On the same side of complacency is fear keeping you plastered in your current situation, abiding by the status quo.

Thank God for people who are not complacent with things that are happening to our health freedoms right now. And if you feel complacent, don’t worry, it’s not a state of being, it’s a state of mind that can be changed if you decide you want something more from LIFE. And if you feel complacent and are happy – it’s okay. Just know that life doesn’t revolve around staying the same, it revolves around change and we can only hope for positive change and productive qualities.

Life is meant to be lived, as they say we only have one, and “today is a gift, that’s why they call it the present” So why take each day’s gift and bury it under your pile of complacency? Why not treat life with a sense of urgency and tender loving care?
