Hope For A Healthier Immune System

Listening to the news about Covid-19, you may come away with fear and trepidation. “We will not be safe until we have a vaccine” is the mantra that we keep hearing time and time again. The other mantra that we keep hearing is that we will not be safe without more testing.

Fear itself, is not healthy. This constant fear and hopelessness causes stress. The added stress has a negative impact on a person’s immune system. With a compromised immune system, it is more difficult for the body to meet an immune challenge. It may not be enough to diligently do all the precautions to keep from getting infected with the virus – so, it is equally important to take positive steps to strengthen your immune system per chance you contract Covid-19.

Important action steps to take are: make sure you see your Chiropractor to confirm that your nervous system is functioning to its optimum. Your nervous system orchestrates your immune response. There has to be harmonious balance with both for health to occur. 90% of all health is determined by your nervous system.

Secondly, eat a whole food, plant based diet. Spring is here, summer is coming, raw, fresh, local fruits and vegetables will be available for your consumption. If you feel able, support those amazing farmers markets, local growers and small businesses providing you quality food.

We are facing another pandemic, “An Overfat Pandemic”. Being overweight leads to compromised immune function. Eating better, more plants, will not only boost your immune system through numerous researched health benefits, but may help you lose weight and lead to a healthier immune response towards any health conflict.

Start with the above two action steps, and have hope for YOUR health.
